Takes first career ACT Victory

WEST HAVEN, Vt. -- Wayne Helliwell, Jr., labeled himself the bridesmaid of the American-Canadian Tour. And perhaps rightfully so: since joining the tour full-time last season, Helliwell has finished second four times, but has been kept out of the winners circle. Three of those runner-up finishes have come at the expense of chief rival Brian Hoar.
But Helliwell and his Bruce Bernhardt-owned team had Devil’s Bowl Speedway in mind. And on Sunday, Helliwell shed his bridesmaid title and took his first career American-Canadian Tour victory in the 101.5 “The Fox” Spring Green 112. Read Full Story

WEST HAVEN -- Vince Quenneville, Jr., is not an unfamiliar visitor to Devil's Bowl victory lane. The Brandon native had scored multiple wins on the dirt surface prior to 2010, and even visited the winners circle on the asphalt in 2010. But Quenneville moved away from Devil's Bowl after rule changes made his car ineligible to compete.
But Quenneville returned to Devil's Bowl on Sunday in NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Bond Auto Parts Modified competition. And he made his return a special one. Read Full Story

Teenager’s long racing season begins Sunday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway

WEST HAVEN -- Most teenagers are just beginning to learn how to drive on the street. Not Hunter Bates – he’s racing toward a NASCAR national championship.
In between classes at Middlebury (VT) Union High School, where he is an Honor Roll student, Bates will make his first attempt at the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series national title. His season begins on Sunday at Devil’s Bowl Speedway in West Haven, VT with the 101.5 “The Fox” Spring Green. Read Full Story
