Granite State Pro Stock Series Encouraged By Interest

CANAAN, N.H. --
Mike Parks and Jack Bateman, founders of the new Granite State Pro Stock Series, were pleased with the turnout at three meetings held last week to discuss rules, purse structure, race procedures, and answer questions as they plan their first season for pro stock racers.

The series sanctioned a race last summer at Twin State Speedway, Claremont, NH. The inaugural season, featuring a series of races at New Hampshire speedways, will begin Memorial Day weekend on Sat., May 26, with the running of the “David’s House 106” at Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, NH. Dirt Track Racing Front Runner edges out ACT Tiger Champion O'Donnell

BURLINGTON, VT --
Dirt track stock car racing driver Kevin Chaffee has been named the Vermont Motorsports Magazine 2011 Driver of the Year by the readers of www.vtmotormag.com

Over 13,000 votes were cast across eleven categories in a two-week online poll at the Vermont Motorsports Magazine website. Fairlee, Vt., driver Chaffee earned 26% of the vote in the overall VMM 2011 Driver of the Year category. The DIRTcar Sportsman Modified, USAC Dirt Midget Association, and Sprint Cars of New England winner edged ACT Bond/WIX Tiger Tour and Thunder Road Int'l Speedbowl Tiger Sportsman champion Derrick O'Donnell, of Bradford, Vt., by 35 votes for the award. Granite State Pro Stock Series Prepares For Inaugural Season

CANAAN, N.H. --
With the 2012 race season four months away, officials of the newly formed Granite State Pro Stock Series are preparing for their inaugural season. Series co-founders, Mike Parks and Jack Bateman, have scheduled informational meetings the first week of January.

Parks and Bateman are bringing their town hall-type sessions to the competitor to discuss their plans for the first year series, give competitors the opportunity to discuss rules, race procedures, and the recently announced schedule. Read Full Story
