Canaan Dirt Speedway Readies for Giant July 3 Spectacular

CANAAN, N.H. --
The roar of engines will be coming alive on Tuesday night, July 3rd with the running of the Miller Auto Group, Noise “R” Us Fireworks, 4th of July Spectacular. This gigantic special event will feature a $1,000 to win Twin 20’s, Modified event, along with the ScoNE 360 Sprint Cars, Super Streets, a Bomber Enduro, plus a wild and wacky chain race. The evening's activities will end with a giant fireworks display courtesy of Noise “R” Us Fireworks of Newport, New Hampshire. Read Full Story

FREEDOM, N.H. --
The Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) have released a 13-race schedule for their 2012 racing season with races scheduled to take place at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt., Canaan Dirt Speedway in Canaan, N.H., and Legion Speedway in Rumney, N.H. SCoNE's Triple Crown Weekend will once again take place Labor Day weekend at all three tracks. And for the first time, SCoNE will travel north of the boarder for a special race in Quebec. Dirt Track Racing Front Runner edges out ACT Tiger Champion O'Donnell

BURLINGTON, VT --
Dirt track stock car racing driver Kevin Chaffee has been named the Vermont Motorsports Magazine 2011 Driver of the Year by the readers of www.vtmotormag.com

Over 13,000 votes were cast across eleven categories in a two-week online poll at the Vermont Motorsports Magazine website. Fairlee, Vt., driver Chaffee earned 26% of the vote in the overall VMM 2011 Driver of the Year category. The DIRTcar Sportsman Modified, USAC Dirt Midget Association, and Sprint Cars of New England winner edged ACT Bond/WIX Tiger Tour and Thunder Road Int'l Speedbowl Tiger Sportsman champion Derrick O'Donnell, of Bradford, Vt., by 35 votes for the award.
