SCoNE Releases 2012 Schedule

FREEDOM, N.H. -- The Sprint Cars of New England (SCoNE) have released a 13-race schedule for their 2012 racing season with races scheduled to take place at Bear Ridge Speedway in Bradford, Vt., Canaan Dirt Speedway in Canaan, N.H., and Legion Speedway in Rumney, N.H. SCoNE's Triple Crown Weekend will once again take place Labor Day weekend at all three tracks. And for the first time, SCoNE will travel north of the boarder for a special race in Quebec.
The Sprint Cars of New England season will start on Friday, May 11 and Saturday, May 12 as participants in the Can-Am Challenge at Autodrome Granby in Granby, Quebec, Canada. The special event will award $5,000 to the winner and a total purse of over $30,000, putting "the best sprint car drivers in Quebec and Ontario against the best of the northeastern United States." The race will be under sanction of the Empire Super Sprints and the Patriot Sprint Tour.
The 2012 SCoNE championship chase begins on Friday, May 18 at Canaan Dirt Speedway for the series' first of four point paying events. Memorial Day Weekend will witness SCoNE make their first of six point paying appearances at Bear Ridge Speedway on Sat., May 26. The series will visit Canaan on Fri., June 8 and Bear Ridge on Sat., June 16, as well.
Legion Speedway will host its first of three point paying SCoNE event on Sun., June 24. Canaan Dirt Speedway hosts a Fourth of July Special for SCoNE on Tues., July 3, while Bear Ridge welcomes the Sprint Cars just four days later on Sat., July 7. Legion Speedway will host the Sprint Cars of New England on Sun., July 22, while Bear Ridge once again has the Sprints Cars on their schedule on Sat., July 28.
Three races are on tap for the month of August, first on Sun., Aug. 5 at Legion Speedway for the speedway's last SCoNE point race of 2012. Canaan Dirt Speedway will host its last points paying SCoNE race on Fri., Aug. 10. Bear Ridge Speedway will host SCoNE on Sat., Aug. 18.
SCoNE Triple Crown Weekend will take place on Labor Day Weekend once again in 2012. The unique mini-series races at all three SCoNE tracks over Labor Day Weekend. Canaan Dirt Speedway opens Triple Crown Weekend on Fri., Aug. 31, Bear Ridge Speedway hosts the middle round on Sat., Sept. 1, and Legion Speedway welcomes the Triple Crown Weekend finale on Sun., Sept. 2.
Bear Ridge Speedway welcomes SCoNE to be part of the New England Dirt Championships on Sat., Sept. 22, for their final point event of the season.
