Legion, Bear Ridge, Devil's Bowl to host seven races each in 2016

The Sprint Cars of New England have released a packed 21-race 2016 event slate that will see the popular 360 Sprint Cars Series contend seven races each at three New England tracks.

Legion Speedway in Rumney, N.H. will bookend the Sprint Cars of New England 2016 season. The tight quarter-mile clay oval will host the season opener on Friday, May 6 and will close the season on Friday, October 7.

The Sprint Cars of New England will run back-to-back races five times in 2016, with two of those being part of triple header weekends. The first triple header comes during Memorial Day Weekend with Legion, Bear Ridge Speedway, and the Dirt Track at Devil’s Bowl Speedway hosting the Sprint Cars of New England on respective consecutive nights on Friday, May 27, Saturday, May 28, and Sunday, May 29.

The annual Triple Crown weekend will take place over the Fourth of July holiday weekend from Friday, July 1 through Sunday, July 3. Legion, Bear Ridge, and Devil’s Bowl will host the respective events.

Legion will see three additional races, first on Friday, June 17 and then again on Friday, August 5. Legion will see the Sprint Cars one more time prior to the season finale on Friday, September 9.

Bear Ridge will host five additional Sprint Cars of New England events on top of the two triple header weekends races. Saturday, June 11 will see the Sprint Cars of New England visit as well on Saturday, July 23.

Bear Ridge will host the Sprint Cars again on Saturday, August 20 and again during Labor Day Weekend on Saturday, September 3. The final appearance for the Sprint Cars of New England at Bear Ridge in 2016 will take place on Saturday, September 17.

Devil’s Bowl Speedway will partake in its first full season of dirt racing under Mike Bruno’s ownership and will do so with a healthy dose of Sprint Car action. In addition to the two triple header weekends, the Sprint Cars will visit Devil’s Bowl on Sunday, June 19, Sunday, July 10, and Sunday, August 14. Devil’s Bowl will close out Labor Day Weekend with the Sprint Cars on Sunday, September 4.

The Green Mountain Sprint Cars Nationals will be held for the second straight year at Devil’s Bowl on Saturday, September 24. The $3,000-to-win event will again be a combination event between the Sprint Cars of New England and the New York-based Lucas Oil Empire Super Sprints.
