And the Thermal Control Products “Turn Up The Heat” Award finalists for the week ending September 18:
JOHN DONAHUE -- Graniteville, Vt.
No. 26NH Sal’s Specialized Trucking/S&J Remodeling Chevrolet
American-Canadian Tour veteran John Donahue made his debut in the Pro All Stars Series a solid one on Sunday. Driving for team owner Sallie Bolduc, Donahue qualified 12th and piloted the No. 26NH Super Late Model to a seventh-place on the lead lap in the series’ biggest event, the PASS 300 at Beech Ridge Motor Speedway in Scarborough, Maine.
DERRICK O’DONNELL -- Bradford, Vt.
No. 68 Gary Clay Builders/A Notch Above Automotive Chevrolet
Derrick O’Donnell was equal parts lucky and good in the John Clark Memorial 101 for the Bond Auto/WIX ACT Tiger Tour on Saturday at Riverside Speedway. O’Donnell was battling for the lead with Joe Steffen when Steffen cut a tire and the two drivers went off the track. O’Donnell kept rolling, though, and held on to win the race, his second in four starts on the series.
John Donahue and Derrick O’Donnell will each be awarded a Thermal Control Products Flex Fit baseball cap and a roll of TCP aluminized line sleeve, and will be placed in the monthly pool for September.
Each finalist will be voted on by Vermont Motorsports Magazine staff for the monthly grand prize: An exterior door protector and a roll of ZeroClearance thermal protection sheet -- a total value of more than $130.00.
The Thermal Control Products “Turn Up The Heat” Award grand prize winner will be announced at www.vtmotormag.com on Monday, October 3.
