And the Thermal Control Products “Turn Up The Heat” Award winner for September 2011:

LONNIE RIVERS -- Cadyville, N.Y.
No. 357 Friehofer’s/Adirondack Siding Chevrolet
Two-time Airborne Speedway Renegade champion Rivers carried his first checkered flag of the year on September 3, but with an asterisk. Before the race, Rivers received the support of every one of his competitors on a petition to track management, asking to earn points in place of Curtis Seymour, who was forced onto the sidelines with an illness. Rivers changed his car number to Seymour’s familiar No. 357 and -- in Hollywood-story fashion -- got the victory in honor of his friend.
Rivers earned two first-place votes and one second-place vote from Vermont Motorsports Magazine staff to lead the finalists and earn the Thermal Control Products “Turn Up The Heat” Award for September.
Rivers will be awarded the grand prize: An exterior door protector and a roll of ZeroClearance thermal protection sheet -- a total value of more than $130.00 -- from Thermal Control Products.
