Valenti Modified Racing Series Announce 2012 Schedule

CANAAN, N.H. -- Valenti Modified Racing Series president Jack Bateman announced a 15 race schedule for the 2012 season during the series banquet, with a date to-be-announced for a return to Star Speedway in Epping, N.H.
The 2012 season will see a total of 16 races on eight tracks in three states.
Waterford Speedbowl in Waterford, Conn., hosts the season opener for the third straight season, their first of two races, for a two day show on March 31 and April 1. Chris Pasteryak kicked off his championship season with a win in the season opener in 2011. Monadnock Speedway in Winchester, N.H., is next on the schedule on its traditional date on April 28 for its first of three races.
Thompson International Speedway in Thompson, Conn., hosts the 75 lap Memorial Day weekend race on Thursday, May 24 for its first of two races. Seekonk Speedway in Seekonk, Mass., hosts the Valenti Modified Racing Series for the first time on June 9. Stafford Motor Speedway, in Stafford Springs, Conn., welcomes the series on June 22 for an 80 lap main event, their first of two races for 2012. Lee USA Speedway in Lee, N.H., hosts the Port City 100 on June 29, while Monadnock Speedway hosts its second race for the traditional Firecracker 100 on July 7.
Ricky's Race for Kids 112 returns to Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., on July 14. The series returns to Thompson Int'l Speedway for its second appearance on July 26 for a 75 lap main event. Waterford Speedbowl hosts the Valenti Modified Racing series again on August 11 for their second appearance. August 18 sees Seekonk Speedway hosting the series for the second of three times in 2012.
Monadnock Speedway hosts its third race of the 2012 season on August 25. Stafford Motor Speedway welcomes the Valenti Modified Racing Series on August 31 for their final appearance in Connecticut in 2012. Seekonk Speedway will bring the mighty Modifieds to the DAV Memorial on October 6 and 7. Lee USA Speedway's Oktoberfest will play host to the season finale on October 20 and 21.
Oxford Plains Speedway and Beech Ridge Motor Speedway, the two traditional Maine dates, will not return for the 2012 season. Those tracks saw two first time winners in 2011, with Joe Doucette and Mike Holdridge, respectively.
