GEORGIA, Vt. -- Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., will try and regain the ACT Late Model Tour points lead when the Tour heads to the Armed Forces Day 150 at Oxford Plains Speedway in Oxford, Maine, on Sunday, May 20. Hoar has never won at Oxford, site of the annual TD Bank Oxford 250 each summer, though the RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge has not finished outside the Top-5 in any of the ACT races contested at the track over the past two seasons. WEST HAVEN, Vt. -- American-Canadian Tour fans may take a quick look at the top five finishers from the 101.5 “The Fox” Spring Green 112 and easily recognize four of the five drivers. They are unmistakably four top contenders: 2011 championship runner-up and current point leader Wayne Helliwell, Jr., 2010 championship runner-up and ACT Invitational winner Joey Polewarczyk, Jr., young standout Austin Theriault, and the low-buck veteran Randy Potter.

Takes first career ACT Victory

WEST HAVEN, Vt. -- Wayne Helliwell, Jr., labeled himself the bridesmaid of the American-Canadian Tour. And perhaps rightfully so: since joining the tour full-time last season, Helliwell has finished second four times, but has been kept out of the winners circle. Three of those runner-up finishes have come at the expense of chief rival Brian Hoar.
But Helliwell and his Bruce Bernhardt-owned team had Devil’s Bowl Speedway in mind. And on Sunday, Helliwell shed his bridesmaid title and took his first career American-Canadian Tour victory in the 101.5 “The Fox” Spring Green 112. Read Full Story

Austin Theriault: ACT Late Model Tour Devil's Bowl Speedway Race Preview

FORT KENT, Maine Austin Theriault of Fort Kent, Maine, will tackle Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., for the first time with his family-owned team in the ACT Late Model Tour Spring Green 112 on Sunday, May 6. The 18-year-old high school senior and Brad Keselowski Racing development driver has finished in the Top-10 in eight consecutive ACT races dating back to July of 2011, and he's hoping to rebound from a tough day at Thunder Road International Speedbowl last weekend. While driving for RPM Motorsports in the 2011 Spring Green, Theriault was caught up in two separate incidents that forced him to retire early from the event after qualifying on the outside of the second row. Brian Hoar: ACT Late Model Tour Devil's Bowl Speedway Race Preview

GEORGIA, Vt. -- Brian Hoar of Williston, Vt., will try and win three straight ACT Late Model Tour events for the first time in his record-breaking career, joining the series for the Spring Green 112 at Devil's Bowl Speedway in West Haven, Vt., on Sunday, May 6. Hoar won the first two races of the season at Lee USA Speedway and Thunder Road International Speedbowl, respectively, to take a six-point lead in the ACT standings with eight points races remaining. The driver of the RPM Motorsports No. 37 GossCars.com Dodge now has an ACT-record 35 career victories. Hoar won the Spring Green last year in the Tour's inaugural visit to Devil's Bowl Speedway, which was transformed from a dirt track during the winter of 2010-11. Read Full Story
