Thunder Road Int’l Speedbowl has shown Wayne Helliwell, Jr., what it is like to be a bridesmaid. Time after time, Helliwell has been close, but left empty handed. The Bruce Bernhardt-led team has won Milk Bowl segments, been in contention to win the Milk Bowl, and been battling for the win in the past four ACT Late Model Tour events at the tight quarter-mile bull ring, only to fall short of the top step. In fact, Helliwell has posted a finish no worse than fourth in those past four ACT Late Model Tour events.
