WATERFORD, Conn. -- Les Hinckley doesn’t need any criticism to fuel his motivation for the 2012 Valenti Modified Racing Series season.
Despite 14 top-10 finishes in 15 starts last season, the Windsor Locks, Conn., native finished 14-points away from being the series champion. Hinckley said the disparagement within the New England racing community doesn’t faze him. Read Full Story

WATERFORD, Conn -- Racing season is finally here for us, as we saw race cars circle the Waterford Speedbowl today in actual competition. Hallelujah. A little rain may have delayed the start at Waterford on Saturday afternoon, but it didn't dampen many spirits. 28 Valenti Modified Racing Series cars attempted to qualify for the Budweiser Blastoff 100 lid lifter.
