Christopher Runs From Back to Claim VMRS Win at Thompson

THOMPSON, Conn. --
Ted Christopher started 30th in the 33-car field and charged his way to the front to score his second career Valenti Modified Racing Series win.

Point leader Rowan Pennink led the first 68 laps before he was shown the black flag for a water leak. Christopher was able to inherit the lead and ran to the victory. Read Full Story

Hinckley Dominates Ricky's Race

CANAAN, N.H. --
Les Hinckley had been playfully badgered for not winning the Valenti Modified Racing Series Ricky Miller Memorial race for the first four years. The connections the No. 06 Chuck Montville-owned team branch out like a matured tree, and that left Hinckley disappointed for not winning for everyone involved.

But Hinckley would not be denied in 2012, and dominated the special event at Canaan Fair Speedway. Read Full Story

The top two point drivers in the Valenti Modified Racing Series will tackle double duty on Saturday, July 14.

Point leader Rowan Pennink and second place Jon McKennedy will race in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tour Town Fair Tire 100 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in the early afternoon, before making the 50-mile jaunt to Canaan Fair Speedway in Canaan, N.H., for the Valenti Modified Racing Series Ricky Miller Memorial 112. WINCHESTER, N.H. --
Chris Pasteryak appeared to have finally broken the ice on a tough season. The defending Valenti Modified Racing Series champion took the lead halfway through the Firecracker 100 at Monadnock Speedway and appeared to be en route to his first win of the season.

But as Pasteryak exited turn two on lap 92, Pasteryak's blue No. 5 got severely sideways, and opened thedoor for Todd Szegedy. Read Full Story
